Meet BZNC: Dr. Michael Windelspecht

How did you get involved with BZNC?

I met a few BZNC members at Belize Zoo events, but was formally introduced by the zoo leaders when we were working on similar projects.

What BZNC initiative is the most meaningful to you?

The work on jaguar conservation, specifically the Human Jaguar Conflict Program which gives jaguars a second chance at life after interacting with humans.

What do you wish more people knew about wildlife or Belize?

The passion that Belizeans have for local conservation and the wildlife of their small country.
