ABOUT BZNC
Our Story: Wildlife Conservation in Belize and Beyond
BZNC (The Belize Zoo Neotropical Conservancy) is a diverse group of educators, scientists, and conservationists. We share one common mission: advancing wildlife conservation through advocacy and education in Belize and the surrounding neotropical regions.
Rooted in The Belize Zoo
Our journey began with a singular focus: supporting The Belize Zoo. Originally established as a non-profit to help the "Best Little Zoo in the World" grow through international support, our roots are deeply intertwined with the animals and educators who call the Zoo home. We remain steadfast in our commitment to its success, as it is the heart of wildlife protection in Belize.
Growing Together for Belizean Wildlife
As our impact grew, so did our vision. While the Belize Zoo remains our central inspiration, we’ve expanded our reach to team up with partners who share our dedication to protecting Belizean wildlife and natural habitats.
By bringing together our team’s diverse skills and shared passion, we launch conservation projects that achieve real, measurable results, from habitat protection to community-led education. Whether we’re working on a direct partnership or a collaborative field project, every move we make circles back to one goal: ensuring a thriving future for the wildlife of Belize.
