WELCOME TO BZNC
Who We Are
We are BZNC. We are a diverse group of educators who share one common vision of wildlife conservation through advocacy and education, in Belize and beyond.
We are passionate about protecting animals like these:
“I cannot stop watching and interacting with Archie the tamandua. He has also been my favorite (color, beauty, personality), but don’t tell the other animals.”
Adam Denish, VMD,
President of BZNC
“I had the chance for 1-on-1 time with Ben the coatmundi, and his curiosity, playfulness, and energy were such an inspiration that we "adopted" him for a local retirement community!”
Dr. Michael Windelspecht,
Board Member
"Yellow-headed amazon parrots are very intelligent and are known for their remarkable harmonic vocalizations. This has also sadly made them victims of illicit pet trade, and are now endangered."
Dr. Elizabeth P. Mallory,
Board Member
“The spider monkeys are so fun to watch. The fact that they don’t really have thumbs is extra interesting. When they walk on the ground with their arms in the air, they just make me smile.”
Randi Vicenzi,
Board Member
